Our long term vision is to launch an Oc2pus Hub and for it to be known as THE place to start… grow… scale a business in the South West.
It will blend innovation in the way we work, live and play. The Oc2pus Hub will champion a holistic approach with spaces for businesses supporting physical and mental health too. The Oc2pus Hub will benefit from the range of experience and expertise of Oc2pus’ partner network.
To support entrepreneurs brave enough to grab their ideas and balance people, purpose and profit in delivering them.
Helping others succeed spins our wheels. We don’t work with just anyone. We may lose out on some opportunities, but we believe working closely means getting on, having a shared view of life and wanting to have fun. If we put people and purpose first, profit will naturally follow.
Our Values are key and run through our approach like an arrow. But there is no point having values if you, your team and your clients don’t know what they mean. Otherwise, they are just words on a page.

How We Roll:
Our values are cemented into Oc2pus’ DNA. They run through how we choose our partners and our clients who we hope all become friends along the way.
Values help us create culture. We use our values to help us in 4 key areas:
Reward and Discipline: Culture is defined by the people we work with. To make values valuable we need to celebrate our people when they demonstrate our values and hold them to account when they don’t. The values become the plumbline, not the people themselves.
Recruitment: The best people in your team often demonstrate the kind of traits you aspire to. Knowing your values helps you get the right type of people on the team and then to find their best position. Securing the right mix does not mean seeking the same type of people. Diversity gives us breadth while values give us alignment. No two people at Oc2pus are the same. That’s for sure!
Clients: We stick our neck out when it comes to clients. We know pretty quickly if we are going to be a good working fit. If we’re not then it is best to be honest and say so. We can then help you find a partner that might fit you better or have what you need.
Partners: We looked at what our clients need most on their journeys. And we looked at where we could add to our expertise to serve them better. Armed with that information and our Mission and Values we went out to build a network of partners we love working with and think you will too. Importantly they all know what it is like to start from scratch and what a difference the right support can mean.
